Welcome to Project Troll
@bridgeheight.com

Our vision is to utilise smart tech and clever software to provide simple, cost effective and useful information to boating communities everywhere, aiding navigation and improving safety.

The Story So Far

  • Our Technology

    The team behind Troll have created custom equipment and overcome serious environmental hurdles in order to take accurate measurements with standalone technology.

    Readings are sent to the cloud in real-time and made available via our API in a range of formats for a variety of purposes, from safe journey planning to rapid flood detection.

  • Why The Broads?

    We provide real-time bridge heights (bridge clearance) for bridges on the Norfolk Broads as a proof of concept of our innovative water monitoring solution. Giving agencies, private and commercial boaters access to real-time tidal information is just one way of demonstrating our technology and platform.

    We currently cover a limited number of bridges on The Broads, but if you are interested in helping us sponsor more bridges and help roll them out sooner then please get in touch.

  • The Bigger Picture

    This isn’t just about our website or app of the Norfolk Broads. With our powerful cloud based infrastructure and data APIs, we want to help enable other application and uses of the data for other clever people with great ideas, from flood monitoring, to tidal information for shipping, bore hole management, the list is endless.

    Contact us at enquiries@bridgeheight.com if you want to be involved.

  • A Bit About Us

    We are an independent organisation without connection to government or their affiliated bodies or authorities.

    We noticed that the information we’re collecting isn’t available anywhere else, and we think that super rapid, super accurate data availability – if used responsibly – can be used to make recreation as well as commercial activities simpler and maybe even reduce accidents.

    If you like the sound of what we’re doing and have suggestions, enquiries, or would even like to become involved in the project in some way, we’d love to hear from you, so please email us at enquiries@bridgeheight.com We endeavour to reply quickly to all queries.
